My greatest treasure hunt:

During my summer in NYC, I stumbled upon a hidden quest: matchbox hunting. Across Manhattan, certain restaurants, hotels, and bars still
honor the 1920s tradition of handing out matchboxes as advertising, a relic from when smoking was the norm in these spaces. Unable to
resist the challenge, I spent months exploring the city, guided by a
map I pieced together from TikToks and a blog, “
Matchbook Traveler.

Every place I visited felt like a shift back in time, preserving an old-rich ambiance with meticulous detail—from vintage logos and well-worn furniture to the distinct scents that filled the air. The matchboxes? More than just souvenirs, they were miniature works of art, tangible pieces of history that allowed you to carry the place with you. A nostalgic keepsake that keeps NYC timeless.
